Questions
What people ask before they start.
What do you store?
Furniture, art, rugs, lighting, mirrors and boxed household goods. If you are unsure about a piece, describe it when you sign up and we will tell you.
Who is it for?
Interior designers holding pieces for a client's install, and homeowners between houses, renovating, or simply short on room.
Can I see my pieces?
Yes. Every piece we hold for you is in your online account with its photos, its condition note and the date it arrived.
How do I get pieces back?
Sign in, tick the pieces you want and choose a day. We confirm the date and keep you posted until they are delivered.
Can you collect from my house or a job site?
Yes. Ask for a pickup when you sign up or any time from your account, and we arrange a day with you.
Can vendors ship orders straight to you?
Yes, for designers. Each piece is logged when it arrives, so you can see it in your account before the install.
How am I billed?
Once a month, by the space your pieces take: each piece is measured in cubic feet when it arrives, and boxes go in a vault billed by its size. There is a one-time receiving fee per item, and deliveries are billed when they are scheduled. Bills come by email and can be paid online by bank transfer or card.
Will my price go up?
Your price is locked for your first year. After that, any yearly rise is small and capped; the exact terms are in the storage agreement.
What about insurance and liability?
These are set out in the storage agreement you sign at signup. If you have a question about them, write to us before you sign.
Can someone else on my team use the account?
Yes. We can give more than one person a login to the same account, which helps designers who share projects.
How do I stop storing with you?
Ask for delivery of your remaining pieces, or write to storage@fritzporter.com. The storage agreement explains how it ends.
